Bugatti BL4 Double Torch Lighter Review

Bugatti BL4 Double Torch Lighter
Let's jump right to it, this is CLR's favorite Bugatti lighter reviewed to date. This is the Bugatti BL4 twin jet torch lighter. The BL4 is currently available in three variants, matte black BL400 (more glossy than matte), chrome satin BL410, and gunmetal satin BL420.
The Bugatti BL4 is an updated version of Bugatti's previous offerings, the B-1001 & B-2002. The BL400 seems to have the best overall finish than it's predecessors. Beyond the finish, the styling is more modern and less dated in appearance. The new design is to represent that of a Bugatti grill. On the matte black version, the red gives a great aesthetic pop to the lighter. Inside the case, the lighter seems unchanged compared to the B-1001 and B-2002. Still has the same complete pull out center to refill (seen here B-2002 Cartridge), nice sized thumb pusher, and a mirror on the underside of the lid. More importantly, the BL4 still maintains CLR's favorite aspect of this series of lighters. The dual jet torches are inverted just slightly. This creates one flawless, beautiful blue triangular windproof flame.

In the top view down, you can just see the inverted jets belowIn this picture, the jet on the right is the most noticeable. You do not see this very often, most are even/parallel to each other. The windproof flame is very strong and the BL4 fired up for on every attempt without hesitation.
Bugatti kept the integrated 8mm cigar punch, located on the bottom of the lighter. I think 8mm is the sweet spot for punch cutters, not too big, nor to small. Plus, they always come in handy at some point, even if you do not prefer a punch cut. As noted in the past reviews, the lighter does not have a fuel gauge window and you do need to pull out the inside to refuel the butane. Granted, this is not to big of a pain, not ideal either.
The lighter is also presented in nice little gift box, opposed to the cheap throw away plastic packaging of it's predecessors. Unlike previous Bugatti's reviewed here on CLR, the MSRP is not terribly overinflated due to it being branded "Bugatti". The BL4 in any of the three finish has a suggested MSRP of $69.95 USD. The lighter can be found for a bit less, but currently holds pretty true to the list price compared to some other brands.
