Vector Urbano Lighter Review

Vector Urbano Triple Torch Lighter
Vector Urbano Triple Torch Lighter Review
Now this is a powerhouse of a lighter! This is the Vector Urbano triple torch lighter, shown here in gunmetal. It is currently available in five different finishes, black crackle, matte black, high polish chrome, sparkle burgundy, and of course gunmetal.
Out of the box, the first thing I noticed was it's nice heavy weight. CLR likes a heavy lighter. Typically, a direct correlation of minimal plastic used for external parts. Vector packed the Urbano full of most features one would want. There are a few areas I would change to make it the ultimate lighter. I will get back to this is in a moment. Urbano has a fuel gauge window, a must when burning triple jets. Vector also integrated an 8 millimeter cigar punch located on the bottom of the lighter. A CLR favorite that is lacking from the Urbano is a single action lid. Meaning when you depress the thumb pusher the lid does not automatically flip open. Once the lid is flipped open there is a small mirror on the underside, you can see if your cigar is fully lit during initial lighting.
Vector Urbano Triple Flame
The lighter did get rather hot during short usage. Admittedly, it is hard to burn three scorching hot flames without the lighter getting hot (not counting table top lighters). The wind resistant torch is very strong and fired up without any misses. The bottom of the Urbano has the small fuel adjuster, needing something like a small screw driver. Not a CLR favorite, much prefer a large adjustment wheel.
The Vector Urbano comes in at an excellent price point, retailing for $30. Of course you can usually find it for less. Making the Urbano one of the best values for the money reviewed to date on CLR. Lastly, to top off this great value, Vector backs this lighter with a no proof of purchase lifetime warranty!

Pros - triple jet torches, cigar punch, value, lifetime warranty
Consideration - gets hot quickly

I've got three of these, under the Scorch Torch brand. They seem to be manufactured in China by a single source who rebrands them for whomever wants to sell them.

I got one free with a box of cigars, the other two I picked up for around $9.30 on eBay, searching for Scorch torch lighter. They're fantastic little lighters for the money.

Sadly, someone stole one of them when I had a big barbecue at my home, but at $10 a pop, its hard to hold a grudge about it.
